Degrees: Ph.D in Physics (1987), MSc in Radioelectronics (1982), BSc in Physics (1979)

Research Interests: Materials Science –Solid State Physics – Electron Microscopy

  • Development and improvement of methods for the accurate determination of parameters that describe crystal interfaces with conventional Electron Microscopy (CTEM).
  • Study of materials microstructure as well as heterostructure interfaces in meso- and nano- scale with CTEM.
  • Study and analysis of materials microstructure and heterostructure interfaces in the atomic scale with High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HRΤEM).
  • Processing and simulation of CTEM and HRTEM images in order to obtain quantitative information on the strain state and local chemical composition.
  • Integration of Electron Microscopy and simulation techniques towards optimization of growth conditions for advanced materials.
